One of Mizzou's biggest offseason additions, Noah Carter announced to me that he is "looking forward to taking his second year at Missouri and taking that COVID year." The 6-foot-6 forward announced his transfer to Missouri after averaging 15 points per game, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.8 assists last season at Northern Iowa.
With Noah Carter planning on staying at Mizzou for an extra year, Dennis Gates will have at least one player he can build the program around. Players currently rostered that have eligibility remaining past the 2022-23 season include Mizzou returners Kobe and Kaleb Brown, Ronnie DeGray III, highly touted Missouri State transfer, Isiaih Mosley, Clemson transfer, Nick Honor, top-50 ranked incoming freshman Aidan Shaw, and JUCO transfers Sean East II and Mohamed Diarra. Whether the Tigers will return everyone with eligibility or not will be determined next year. Still, for the time being, Dennis Gates has at least one cornerstone planning on "trying to do things that haven't been done yet" at Missouri.
